Hurricane Preparedness

Dear Residents;

The official start of Hurricane Season is here! Hurricane seasons starts Tuesday, June 1, 2024 and continues through Tuesday, November 30, 2024. It is important that you take some time to start your hurricane preparations. First Service Residential has prepared our annual Hurricane Guide to help guide you through what to do before, during and after an event.

Here are some tips to getting started:

1. Keep non-perishable emergency supplies for at least 7 days per person on hand.
2. Take inventory of your personal property.
3. Create a disaster plan.
4. Check your insurance policy. Make sure that your home is covered adequately.
5. Prepare your home and vehicles.
6. Make sure all of your important documents (medical records, id cards, social security cards, birth certificates, etc.)  are safe in a water proof container.

Make sure to follow weather.gov/hurricanesafety for more information, as well as the National Hurricane Center for up to date forecasting of the Atlantic during the entire hurricane season.
